Throughout the year, teachers and students from across the Southern Rangitikei area will come together for several sporting and cultural events, such as Quad Sports, Interschool Athletics and Cross Country, and the Culture Festival. Teachers will also come together for Professional Development opportunities, and to share our learning and aspirations for the students in our region.
Our school has a group of keen parents who organise activities for our students and fundraise to provide equipment and facilities to support our students.
If you would like to get involved keep an eye on the newsletter for details.

KidsCan is Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading charity dedicated to helping Kiwi kids affected by poverty. We help tamariki experiencing hardship by providing food, jackets, shoes and health products to schools and early childhood centres across New Zealand.
With these essentials, kids can participate in learning and have the opportunity for a better future.
Enviroschools is a nationwide programme supported by Toimata Foundation, founding partner Te Mauri Tau, and a large network of regional partners. Early childhood centres and schools commit to a long-term sustainability journey, where tamariki/students connect with and explore the environment, then plan, design and take action in their local places in collaboration with their communities.
Dennis has been instrumental in developing Marton School's dahlias and daffodils.

RADRs was formed in June 2015 by founding members Sandy McCuan and Aimee Merrick with the goal of promoting distance riding in the Rangitikei. The intention is to not compete against existing clubs but to complement them by offering more rides and encouraging new people to try distance riding.
The club continues to flourish, with over 250 financial members and over $20,000 raised for local community groups in an annual fundraiser event.
Our events are friendly, inclusive and affordable. Everyone welcome!
